Craig Gaulden Davis has been selected to design an addition and renovations for the Athens-Clarke County Library. Athens’ 15-year-old, 60,000 square foot building will be completely overhauled and a 20,000 square foot structure, housing a 300-seat meeting room, cafe, and Friends of the Library gift shop, will be added to the front of the building. The addition will result in a transformation of the building’s entrance.
Craig Gaulden Davis has been selected to design an addition and renovations for the historic Tifton-Tift County Library located in Tift County, Georgia, about 2-1/2 hours south of Atlanta. Originally a post office, the existing structure had been converted to a library and underwent renovations in the 1980’s. Current plans are to renovate and increase the area to accommodate future growth of the library’s collection and services to the community. CGD has teamed with Studio 3 Design Group of Augusta to execute the project.
