Kuhfuss Named IIDA Chapter President

IIDA-July2013-cropwebAndrea Kuhfuss (front, center) is serving as 2013/2014 president of IIDA Carolinas Chapter.  The IIDA (International Interior Design Association) Carolinas Chapter serves both North and South Carolina and strives to advance and promote the profession of interior design. The regional network of qualified design professionals focuses on increasing design excellence and community relevance through the guiding principles of continuous professional development, collaboration, and philanthropy. The Chapter boasts 500 plus members, who are committed to the communities in which they live and work.

 

A.L. Corbett Middle School Addition

Corbett 1cropStudents at A.L. Corbett Middle School in Wagener, SC (Aiken County) no longer have to walk outside to get to the gym. That’s a good thing, given all the rain this year. The athletics boosters also have a concessions room, more available rest rooms, and a place to gather outside of the gymnasium itself. CGD completed a small addition linking the original c. 1955 gymnasium to the “new” Corbett Middle School classroom building, completed around 2001.

 

Sipos Completes Internship

Cassie Sipos completes an internship in interior design this week. She remarked that she could not have asked for a better intern experience, and that CGD set the bar very high. We thank Cassie for excellent work and wish her well as she returns to Virginia Tech for her senior year.
