Edward T. Zeigler, Jr, AIA
Principal, President and CEO

Design has to be a challenge: a challenge to clients to take things to a higher level, and a challenge to ourselves to think beyond the expected.  I believe you can see that in our projects and in the way we think about the details.

When Ed Zeigler joined Craig Gaulden Davis in 1983, he sensed he was where he was meant to be:  surrounded by a group of creative, respected individuals who were dedicated to collectively providing great architecture.

Within two years, he became a principal, which involved him in conversations about the firm’s future.  Described by his contemporaries as an encourager and a “consensus-builder who is strong enough to make decisions,” Ed has since helped to build a cohesive leadership team designed to take the firm to new creative heights.

An avid gardener, reader and soloist, Ed is heavily involved in the community.  He has just completed a three-year term on the American Institute of Architects’ national Board of Directors.
