Craig Gaulden Davis worked closely with faculty and staff to develop a teaching facility that fit the university’s liberal arts educational goals. A 450-seat theatre is the centerpiece of the building which also includes classrooms for instruction in art, music, language, speech and journalism, a 100-seat black box theatre, labs, practice rooms and studios. A spacious lobby provides a delightful setting for receptions and other social events. While the building carefully respects the existing campus architecture, a combination of rich textures and bright colors offers a striking setting for arts education.
