We are happy to introduce Rachel, Sophia and Hayden – here for the summer! Below is a little more about each of them.
Welcome to CGD!
Hayden Duncan
Hometown: Greenville, SC
Education: B.S. Arch from University of Virginia School of Architecture (Class of 2021)
Art of Architecture Program at the Fine Arts Center (2014-2018)
Design Thoughts: I’ve wanted to be an Architect from an early age, specifically, the ability for design to promote change within a community. I’m interested in technology’s ability to influence design.
When I’m Not Designing: I enjoy working with technology – I built my own computer. I also enjoy finding new hikes.
Sophia Delgado
Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio
Education: Master of Architecture | Clemson University (Class of 2020)
Bachelor of Arts in Architecture | Miami University (Class of 2014)
Design Thoughts: I love how the architectural design process involves many layers of problem solving and collaboration. I strive to create meaningful architecture by considering a project’s site, history, program, community, client’s needs, and construction.
When I’m Not Designing: I enjoy spending time with my husband Jacob and our dog Bella. Most weekends you will find us outdoors hiking or exploring Greenville’s art and food scene.
Rachel Coulomb
Hometown: Greenville, SC
Education: Master of Architecture | Harvard University Graduate School of Design (Class of 2022)
Bachelor of Science in Architecture | University of Cincinnati (Class of 2017)
Design Thoughts: My interest in architecture lies in it’s social impact at both the individual and urban scale. I enjoy pushing the boundaries of form to re-imagine how we can inhabit our surroundings more collectively.
When I’m Not Designing: I enjoy traveling, museums and finding new microbreweries. I love weird beer.
