Greenwood’s new library made it official on Friday, August 26. That’s when CGD President Ed Zeigler presented Director Prudence Taylor with a recycled glass plaque marking the facility’s LEED Silver status.
The Greenwood County Library achieved Silver LEED Certification earlier this summer, making it South Carolina’s first LEED-certified public library. “LEED” – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – is a green building certification system developed by the US Green Building Council.
