After the 1987 second floor addition and a 2003 renovation, our team endeavored to reimagine (again) our 1970s earthen shelter, building on its strong foundation of poured-in-place concrete and passive solar orientation tucked into a ‘hidden’ wooded hillside of Greenville.

A contemporary work environment meant more flexible spaces, multiple areas to meet or work individually, height adjustable desks, quiet rooms, tech-rich furniture, updated finishes, and refined outdoor spaces. Thankfully, CGD’s founders anticipated the importance of biophilia with the design wisdom to create due north facing windows with expansive, wooded views on either side.

In 2017, internal design teams were formed and concepts considered to design our office into the twenty-first century. Construction commenced in 2019 and completed in 2020.

The result?

A space that embodies the legacy, culture, and future of Craig Gaulden Davis for now and many years to come.
