In response to overwhelming success with Heritage Park, the City of Simpsonville proceeded with phase two by commissioning CGD to design a “rigging” canopy for the amphitheater stage. The canopy and its stage support features are designed to meet the criteria for any national touring production. A perforated metal screen, 120’ wide x 30’ deep, suspended above the stage, provides a memorable icon to visitors and offers a myriad of lighting options with sunlight and shadows during daylight hours and interest with colored lighting during evening performances.
