The Village of West Greenville is rich in history dating back to the early 1830’s when the west side of Greenville saw growth as a commercial hub attracting large manufacturing facilities. As development shifted elsewhere in the 1950’s, mill houses and buildings were left abandoned and untended. The proximity of the Village to a much-admired downtown attracted a burgeoning arts community. An enthusiastic local publisher continued the momentum of growth by recently relocating their office to the heart of the Village. The renovated buildings offer a unique feel and atmosphere and excite others to continue the revitalization of this vibrant area.
