Craig Gaulden Davis was asked to expand a school that was originally built in the 1950’s. It is expected that most of the existing building will eventually be demolished with the exception of the auditorium and gymnasium. CGD placed the free-standing ten classroom addition near the gymnasium to preserve both structures in the future. The new facility masks much of the existing building and provides a new entrance for carpoolers who enter the site from the rear. The classrooms are flooded with natural light and feature bright accent walls. The brick selection blends with the original masonry and creates a new palette for future additions.
