Forsyth County Public Library commissioned CGD to design their new 23,000 SF branch to compliment the surrounding residential neighborhoods and be their first LEED Certified facility. The exterior design utilizes indigenous materials and elements comprised of field stone, wood siding and trellises, drawing from surrounding equestrian architecture. The plan of the building is organized around a “spine” that organizes internal patron circulation with clerestory windows to bring natural light into the entire structure.
