The Charles E. Daniel Theatre, a six-hundred-seat, multi-event, proscenium theatre, opened in 1967 and was one of the first public theatres to be built in South Carolina in forty years. The building has a complete working stage and stage house with orchestra pit, music practice rooms and rehearsal facilities. Known in Greenville as the “Little Theatre,” this venue was the first of four projects designed by Craig Gaulden Davis for “Heritage Green,” Greenville’s Cultural Campus.
Thirty years later, in 1997, CGD was asked to design renovations to the Lobby. The main focus of the effort was the design and installation of custom chandeliers.
