Wren High School re-opened this fall with a new look after receiving needed renovations and additions under project manager Gwinn Harvey. This project was the last of nine very successful K-12 projects CGD has completed with Anderson School District One. The grounds outside the main entrance were enhanced with landscaping, sculpture, paving and seating areas for the students to use before and after school. The roof on the existing covered entrance was replaced with a translucent skylight creating a more spacious and inviting entrance during the day and an illuminating focal point at night. An addition was designed to provide a more functional and secure lobby and administrative area for students and parents. The student commons area adjacent to the gymnasium, auditorium and cafeteria was updated with an exciting multicolored metal wave ceiling and lighting (pictured right). New trophy and display cases were added that highlight achievements in athletics and academics to recognize and encourage student spirit and pride.
