First Presbyterian Augusta Under Way

By | News | No Comments

FPC Sanctuary renderingFirst Presbyterian Church (PCA) has engaged Craig Gaulden Davis to design renovations to its historic sanctuary in downtown Augusta.  The measures will improve audio, video and lighting system, and update finishes.  Reconfiguration of the Chancel will offer worship leaders greater flexibility.

The sanctuary was originally designed by South Carolina architect Robert Mills and dedicated in May 1812.  The structure has been renovated a number of times since.

Construction is expected to start in June 2012 and finish in early 2013.

Anderson University Housing

Craig Gaulden Davis has designed a new suite style dormitory for Anderson University in Anderson, SC. The three story, 102-bed facility is the third phase and fourth building in the Boulevard Housing complex, masterplanned by CGD for up to 360 students.

The design draws from the Georgian architectural style of the campus and establishes a strong axis between the main gate and Merritt Administration Building across the street. Construction is scheduled for completion in Summer 2012.
