Powell Talks About School Design

Scott Powell, a principal at Craig Gaulden Davis, will help architects attending the AIA’s National Convention educate legislators about the value architects offer schools and the pitfalls of using stock school plans.  “Influencing Decision Makers of the Value of an Architect: Get the Facts on Stock School Plans” is scheduled for May 17, 2012, in Washington, DC.

The presentation is just part of Powell’s busy speaking schedule.  In late February, he and leaders from A.J. Whittenberg Elementary School of Engineering spoke at the South Carolina School Board Association Conference  about the facility’s use as a learning tool.  In March, Powell discussed Whittenberg’s innovative use of sustainable features in an urban setting at the South Carolina conference of the US Green Building Council.

Scott Powell, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, leads CGD’s service to clients who are transforming their communities through education.
