‘The Grove at Towne Center’ is a visionary mixed-use development of 18-acres in the heart of Snellville near City Hall. As a catalyst for creating a business and community hub, the Center will feature retail, office, entertainment, and residential spaces. One of the anchor buildings will be the new Gwinnett County Branch Library which will occupy the ground floor of a new 45,000 sf building that includes a second-floor business development and accelerator space.
The 20,000 square foot library is designed with an open, flexible floor plan that utilizes abundant glazing to showcase the life of the library inside and the activity of the community outside. Snellville Branch Library will offer a variety of services to patrons with a flexible multi-purpose room, community laptop bars, group study rooms with writeable walls, a makers space, a media lab, and dedicated areas for children and teens. Bright bands of color, playful graphics, floor patterns, and warm wood tones intersect to delineate zones for activity or study. Acoustic treatments, flexibility, and access to technology create an excellent learning environment for personal and group engagement, discovery, and connectivity for the community of Snellville.
